There is something so magical about working with expectant first time parents getting ready to to welcome their baby. While each woman is different, I usually recommend scheduling a session around week 30, as the baby is nice and full, but mom isn’t too uncomfortable yet.
A Dreamy Maternity Session
We chose to do a combination of studio and location photos with Casey. In the studio we had fun with a tulle skirt and also a romantic draping of white linen gauze and a lace peek-a-boo gown. I love how soft the black and white images turned out – so dreamy! She and her husband were able caress her belly in anticipation of the new little one they were welcoming soon.
The light blue gown is romantic and draped in such a way it was so flattering to Casey. I loved the soft blue color as it celebrated the baby boy growing in her tummy! I styled it with a delicate floral crown and double lilies… they smelled wonderful! This dress also looked amazing on location in a field of yellow wildflowers.
Pregnancy is the perfect time to pamper yourself with pretty flowers and dresses. I was so happy to photograph Casey and capture her glowing beauty as a first time mom.
