Sugar and spice and everything nice. That’s what makes little girls such fun to photograph. Sweet lace rompers, dainty pearls, and delicate floral headbands make the sweetest little set-ups. I love all the subtle colors that help complement their fresh new skin. And it totally helps that pink is considered a neutral. Timeless and classic.

A Sweet Sleepy Baby

Sweet baby Catherine was recently in the studio, and she wins the prestigious award for sleepiest and smiliest baby so far this year! She was every newborn photographer’s dream baby, and all her little features were swoon-worthy.. Her squishy little cheeks and pouty lips were to die for, and her teeny toes made the perfect perch for mama and daddy’s wedding bands. I thoroughly enjoyed styling her in pretty outfits and creating perfectly squishy newborn poses for her parents to treasure forever.

If her personality in the studio is any indication of how she is at home, I think her mom and dad will be set. Sleepy, happy, and content, every time she cracked a little smile it brought a feeling of giddiness and joy that was uncontainable. Who could resist those sweet baby grins?! Now, maybe it’s true that the spice will come with time as the saying goes for little girls- but, for now, I think it’s clear as day that this girl is all sugar.
