Let’s reframe Valentine’s Day, shall we?

For years, this holiday was all about someone else—romantic dinners, roses from your partner, grand gestures. But what if it could be something more? Something deeper. Something that starts with you.

As a Houston photographer working with women for nearly two decades, I’ve seen a shift. More and more, women are choosing to celebrate themselves. Not just with spa days or shopping trips, but with meaningful portraits that honor exactly who they are—and how far they’ve come.

Last year, I worked with a client who inspired me deeply. She had just finished her doctorate while raising children and working full-time. Her session was a celebration—headshots, beauty portraits, raw images, and even boudoir. She told me, “This is the first time I’ve done something just for me.” We both ended the day in happy tears, holding space for the strength and softness of her story.

So yes, Valentine’s Day can still mean chocolate and champagne. But it can also be:

  • A solo trip with good books and bubble baths.

  • A bold portrait session that says: I’m proud of who I’ve become.

  • A quiet moment where you simply choose yourself.

As part of our February celebration, I’m offering a little something extra: Book a boudoir session this month and receive a complimentary gift card to Top Drawer Lingerie. It’s my way of saying, you deserve this.

Whether you’re in a relationship or single, a mom or a CEO—or all of the above—this month is for you.
