Houston Newborn Boy Photographer | Chase

Anyone with kids knows things don’t always go according to plan. You can make a whole to-do list complete with schedule, and the second you’re ready to leave you’ll spend half an hour hunting down your child’s left shoe. It can be messy and chaotic, but it’s never dull or boring. Such is the life of a parent.

An Early Arrival

Sometimes kids start throwing a wrench in your plans right from the beginning. You think you have nine months to prepare for a new baby and then- bam. They decide to come several weeks early. This was the case with my latest little client, Chase. He just couldn’t wait to enter this world, and made his entrance a few weeks early. I like to give the little ones some time to adjust, so I generally try to photograph them closer to their due date. For Chase, we scheduled his shoot at 3 1/2 weeks old. He was still a teeny tiny little guy, and so good to me throughout his entire session.

He was so calm and sleepy, and I really enjoyed playing with neutral color palettes and lots of texture for his photos. I know when his parents reminisce on these memories, they will love seeing how itty bitty Chase was at one time. And in years to come when they’re running late because he can’t find his favorite toy car, they can look back at his early entrance and laugh knowing things have always been on his time.
